In 2018, we at Simi Valley Buick GMC will be celebrating 25 years of the GMC Yukon. That’s right, our favorite full-size SUV is turning 25 this year and continues to push the envelope to define what a true premium SUV is, with class-leading performance, technology, and styling.
The Yukon first appeared on the scene as a two-door model in 1993, but in 1995, GMC gave the Yukon name to its four-door SUV. Since then, the GMC Yukon has evolved into the potent, yet efficient and tech-laden premium SUV it is today.
2018 GMC Yukon
The current 2018 GMC Yukon is an overall length of 203.9 inches and offers three rows with an impressive 15.3 cubic feet of space behind the third row and an even more impressive 24.8 inches of leg room in the third row. The Yukon XL is even larger: 224.4 inches in length, 39.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the third row, and 34.5 inches of leg room in the third row. In total, the Yukon can seat up to nine passengers.
The Yukon is incredibly powerful, offering up to 8,500 lb of towing capacity and still managing 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.*
