The Questions You Need to Ask When Buying A New Car

Happy Couple in New Car - Questions You need to ask when buying a new car

Never be scared of asking too many questions while at the dealership. We are here to help you find the car of your dreams. Here’s a few questions we think every new car shopper should ask.

When you’re buying your first (or even your fifth) new car, it’s always a good idea to do all of your research. That being said, there are certain questions that you won’t know the answer to until you get into the dealership. Here’s a short list of the questions you need to ask when buying a new car:

  1. Does the car make you happy? Make sure you that you’re getting a new car that puts a smile on your face and doesn’t just check the boxes of what you think you need to have. If you love the car, buy it, but only if…
  2. Can I afford a new car? If you want a lot of upgrades and special features, then a year-old used car might be for you. You can get many of the same features as the new, but for a lower cost. Cost is always important to consider with a new car purchase. It’s okay to ask our sales persons what different trim level options there are, what the real difference is between them, and what they would recommend. Our sales and finance team pride themselves on helping you find the right car for you, not the priciest one.
  3. What kind of warranty comes with this car? Our Buick and GM cars all come with warranties, so it’s always a good idea to ask for the specifics before buying. Sometimes it’s also a good idea to get the added warranties. It all depends on your driving habits and needs, which leads us to…
  4. Does this new car meet my driving needs? If you drive a lot of miles every week and never have a lot of people in your car, do you need that Yukon? Maybe look at the Cascada or a two-seater Sierra. If you constantly have kids in your car, the Cascada might not be the best choice. Tha being said, if the Yukon makes you happy, refer to rule number 1.
