Buick was undoubtedly one of the stars of the 2016 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. This comes as no surprise. The automaker has long been known for the quality and dependability of its lineup.
For this study, J.D. Power queried 33,560 original owners of 2013 model year vehicles. The analysis firm looked for any problems that arose in the first year of ownership. Once these numbers were tallied, an index was created based on the number of issues per 100 vehicles of each particular model. The lower the score meant the better the dependability.
Among all major automakers, Buick came in third place overall with the Buick Verano. According to a press release from Buick, sixty percent of all 2013 Buick models scored at the top of their segments. This is the second year the Buick LaCrosse has won its segment.
Duncan Aldred, VP of Global Buick, commented on Buick’s success in the 2016 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, saying, “Buick’s ranking is a demonstration of our mission to provide the best in reliability, quality, and customer service.”
