GMC Models Set to Receive Android Auto

Simi Valley Buick GMC is happy to announce that numerous models in our lineup are about to receive Android Auto capability. These include the 2016 Buick Regal, Buick LaCrosse, GMC Canyon, GMC Sierra, and GMC Yukon equipped with the 8-inch IntelliLink system.

If you already own one of these models, the upgrade will occur automatically without cost, so there’s nothing that needs to be done on your end except enjoy the new feature.

Apple CarPlay for iPhone users was already added to the system last year. Now, Android owners will be able to select the features they already use most on their smartphone, such as Google Maps, Google Now, Spotify, Google Play Music, and many other apps.

The best part is, many of these features can be controlled by voice—all you have to do is press the corresponding button on the steering wheel to let the system know you are expressing a voice command (and not just talking to a passenger, for example).
