While the holidays are full of great memories, they can also be full of some stressful times. Avoid the stress with our holidasy season travel tips.

Happy Holidays from all of us here at Simi Valley Buick GMC! We know traveling to see family, whether an hour away or across the country, can be stressful. To help make your holiday season travel go smoothly, here are a few tips to keep you positive during one of the busiest times of the year.

  1. Travel at the Right Time. Whether you’re traveling by land or air (or sea if you’re feeling adventurous), knowing what time to travel can make all the difference. Airports are often less crowded in the early morning and late at night. Roadways are often less crowded late at night, especially if people are traveling to work in the morning.
  2. Plan Ahead. Plot your route ahead of time. Pack a day before you leave so you can make sure you have anything. Divvy up snacks before getting too far into the trip. These simple things can all make a difference in how smoothly your trip goes, especially if you’re traveling with kids.
  3. Mail Your Luggage. Mailing your luggage is a great way to save time and space on the road and money if you’re flying. Airports often charge fees per checked bag and you can only fit so much in your car. Mailing what you don’t need for the travel portion of your trip is a great way to avoid stress. This is especially true for presents.
