On September 22nd, Buick finally confirmed revealed details of the all-new 2017 LaCrosse, which will follow closely in the footsteps of the popular Avenir concept.
One of the biggest Avenir-inspired design elements is the new LaCrosse’s grille, which features Buick’s tri-shield insignia set in the center of a grille-width wing-shaped element, which is surrounded by darkened waterfall grille bars. The wing line connects the grille and headlamps from a design standpoint, and it is a look that Buick drivers will soon see quite a bit of, since all Buicks will sport the same look by 2018.
“The Avenir concept shattered expectations of what a Buick could be and the 2017 LaCrosse promises to do the same,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “Its expressive design represents a break from convention and highlights the progressiveness in all new Buick models.”
Other changes for the next-generation LaCrosse include an all-new chassis designed to be lighter and stronger than the previous version. Also, the LaCrosse will feature a brand-new five-link rear suspension, which will help make the vehicle more responsive while taking Buick’s quiet cabin to new levels.
The Avenir-inspired 2017 LaCrosse will be revealed fully in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show and all of us at Simi Valley Buick GMC can’t wait to see it in person!
