Despite February being the shortest month of the year, GMC saw its best February sales since 2002. Last month, GMC sold 42,433 trucks, vans, and SUVs with every crossover and SUV seeing a sales jump over last year, including an amazing 58% sales increase for the Yukon.
“The Yukon continues to bring new customers into our showroom since launching last year, especially those looking for the Denali,” said Chad Hendrix, general manager at Everett Buick GMC in Bryant, Arkansas, in a statement. “The exterior styling of the all-new Yukon Denali is bringing in many conquest sales from other high-end luxury vehicle owners.”
And, the luxury Denali sub-brand plays a large part in the growth of the GMC brand. It accounted for 21% of all GMC sales last month, compared to 18% one year ago.
In addition to the year-over-year success, February was also the thirteenth consecutive month of sales growth, which U.S. vice president of GMC, Duncan Aldred, says is “a strong indicator that customers value the premium design and features GMC offers.”
