About a month ago, Buick created a fun little mystery with a brief, ambiguous commercial. In this spot, all we saw were a variety of dogs barking madly, including a white lab in the front yard of a well-maintained suburban home and a shih tzu near his or her doghouse. The only real clue what the bit could have been about was the black Buick Enclave in the foreground.
While most of us casually wondered just who are what it was that these dogs were barking at, others might even have lost sleep over this unanswered question. People like my crazy uncle Jefferson, who hasn’t taken off his tin foil hat in 10 years and refuses to sit in chairs because he thinks they are plotting to steal his wallet.
Now Buick has released the same Buick dog commercial with subtitles, translating the dialogue from canine to English. The answer we’ve all been waiting for is that these neighborhood dogs are all incredulous. They simply cannot believe that the white lab’s humans’ vehicle is a Buick. You see, this is the latest ad in the scientifically-awesome “That’s Not a Buick” ad campaign.
What have we learned? Buick’s new 2015 lineup is getting so much attention, even the canine world is hip to it! Check out the video below and let all of us at Simi Valley Buick GMC know what you think of this fun, new ad in the comments below!
