2015 Buick Encore Receives NHTSA’s 5-Star Overall Safety Rating

With its emphasis on safety and comfort, the 2015 Buick Encore earned NHTSA’s 5-star overall safety rating, just as the pictured 2014 Encore did.

Both the front- and all-wheel-drive 2015 Buick Encore have received a 5-star Overall Safety Rating in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s New Car Assessment Program, showing that small size need not equate small results.

The Encore received the full five-star score in the front and side crash tests as well as four stars in the rollover evaluation. More importantly, it received a five-star score in the side pole impact test, which simulates hitting a tree just behind the driver’s side A-pillar at 20 mph. All things considered, this test has a very small margin of error, and the Encore’s performance should make any front-seat passenger feel much safer.

“Consumers are consistently surprised to discover Encore provides the characteristics they expect in our larger offerings—style, sophistication, connectivity and comfort,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “NHTSA’s evaluation affirms Encore lives up to Buick’s safety reputation.”

With these new ratings, we’re proud to announce that we now carry five five-star-rated 2015 models at Simi Valley Buick GMC: the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, Enclave, and now the Encore!
