If you’ve been following our blog here at Simi Valley Buick GMC, you’ll recall the recent Buick partnership with Opel. Buick has again announced that they will be working with the German GM subsidiary in order to style some future Buicks. In particular, the 2017 Buick Regal, along with other cars, will draw from the Opel Monza’s designs.
This is good news for the future of Buick design because the sleek styling and aerodynamic engineering of the Opel concept car is incredible. The upcoming Buick Regal redesign will give the automaker a new flagship look.
According to GM Authority, “When Opel showed the world the Monza’s unique fastback-like shape, signature Opel bodylines and pronounced rear-wheel arches in Frankfurt last year, they were ushering in [design chief Mark] Adams’ more upscale design language.”
So what about the 2015 Regal? Well, it’s more suitable for anyone who isn’t looking for a car straight out of a sci-fi movie. The 2.4-liter turbocharged engine generates 259 horsepower, and it achieves 25/36 mpg. Though not as flashy as the Monza concept, its design screams luxury.
